I 💙 rocks! Years ago my friend, Laura Berman, showed me the wonders of her rock collection, which are rocks she collects as memories of her adventures. My first rock in my collection was discovered with her when we were on an adventure in North Dakota. I have been searching for years for the perfect rock from my park, and yesterday I found it. Love to you all!!

We got to see a moon halo tonight which means there could be snow soon. Apparently, these lunar phenomenons are quite rare . . . so we have that going for us, which is nice.

Cheesy sky (Sometimes l look at the sky and want to eat cheese)

Today started dark, dreary, and rainy - but by the afternoon it was sunny and 73 degrees. Today reminded me of the ole Chicago forecast: if you don’t like the weather - wait! It will change. Which reminded me that if I don’t like the year - wait! It will change. Happy New Year! May this year grant you endurance and joy and happy little trees and flourishing and - when needed most - welcome change.

Happy winter solstice! Here’s hoping that we get to see the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction tonite and that the future is brighter in more ways than one.

Over the past year as I watched the sky, I have noticed how the clouds move and shift - they aren’t static. Tonight as I watched the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, I noticed how they move, too, in relation to the clouds and the earth. It was unexpectedly trippy and magical.
